The Yellow Pine museum made a debut in the little red schoolhouse on “Harmonica weekend” of 2011 (August 5th, 6th, & 7th). Since that heady time of arrangement and rearrangement, exciting visitor meet-ups, and future-oriented brainstorming, the Yellow Pine Backcountry Historical Museum, Inc. and this website have come into being. This small group of volunteers welcomes you to our developing effort at providing all interested parties a way to learn about and share the fascinating history of the Central Idaho backcountry.
The museum itself is still open – that is, local residents are available to open it for you or your group on advance notice. We will have a schedule of open hours during the warmer months of the year. To make an appointment for a YPBHMuseum showing, please contact these people:
Willie Sullivan – wsully @ clear.net
Bill & Lorraine McIntosh – president @ yellowpinemuseum.org
Lynn Imel – limel @ ruralnetwork.net
Admission is free - Donations are appreciated!
